Periodically during the year, the college offers special workshops or seminars to meet the needs of the community for industry related, governmental, or recertification training. CNA Nurse Assistant Training

The course is geared to provide the participant with the skills to be able to perform satisfactorily as an entry level nursing assistant primarily in a long term care facility. The method for reaching that goal combines both a strong technical and theoretical background as well as an opportunity for experience in a supervised clinical environment. Successful completion of the training will satisfy requirements for Medicaid Certification.
Students are expected to have assignments read before each class session and come to class with book and writing materials. Upon completion of course HL 113 participants obtain 4 college credits for 80 hrs of study.
Payment of fees must be made through the DCC Business Office (there is limited enrollment). The fee for the training does NOT include the cost of the certification test, this is administered under the auspices of Headmaster, Inc., Helena and the local long-term care facility.
Prerequisites for participants include completion of ABLE, math/reading section at or above 8th grade level. Contact DCC (377-9452 or 377-3396) for dates testing can be completed. Questions: Call Dawson Community College Instructional Services at 377-9405.
